Manifesting and Blossoming

I want to create content. There. I said it! I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a really long time, and 2020 really put things into perspective and made me realize I’ve been putting this off for far too long. This site has been over a year in the making and after months of manifesting and dreaming up what I would want to say, I am ready to finally blossom. I’ll be honest, it’s a little scary stepping outside of my comfort zone. What inspired me to finally put West by Nature out into the world were words I read in the 2020 memoir Untamed by Glennon Doyle. Her words of wisdom hit me like a ton of bricks.

I am here to keep becoming truer, more beautiful versions of myself again and again forever. To be alive is to be in a perpetual state of revolution. Life is alchemy, and emotions are the fire that turn me to gold.

Needless to say, my fire was lit. In my 9-5 I help brands tell their story, and now I’m ready to tell mine. West by Nature is my stamp where I’ll be sharing topics in lifestyle, fashion, recipes, travel, personal notes, and finds from around the web. This space will continue to evolve along with myself as I discover new interests, hobbies, and topics that light me up.

Am I the first person to write a lifestyle blog? Of course not. But I am the only one who can share these topics I’m passionate about through my lens, and, to me, that’s what makes West by Nature special. So, I invite to you peruse and explore West by Nature. This spring and beyond, I’ll be sharing more posts in Life & Style, Home & Design, and adding to my list of inspiring Books and products in my Skincare Corner. I also have a Travel section, which is currently a capsule for my experiences in Kauai (you can read more about why I love Kauai here, and peek into my wedding on Kauai here), and it will be built out over time as we return to normalcy and book trips again. And if you want to start at the very beginning, you can read more in my About section.

As for the guy in the photo pictured above? That’s my husband, Alex! He’s often the man behind the camera, and I wouldn’t be able to do all of this without his support.

As Glennon says, “May our dreams become our plans.” I’m so excited to build this space and share it with you along the way!

xo, Jamie
