Hi, I’m Jamie.
Welcome to West by Nature — where I discuss topics in life and style, travel, interiors and decor, and share latest shopping finds. Currently calling San Diego home, I’m a California girl who loves everything inspired by the beautiful west coast. Oh, and a good book and skincare routine.
A Wedding Registry Must
I have to say, I am SO glad the signs for a return to normalcy are alive and well. I am particularly excited for wedding season this summer - whether the celebrations have made their way back onto the calendar after being postponed last year or the nuptials were always on the docket for 2021. Now that we are getting back into the swing of things, I wanted to share one of my favorite wedding registry gifts for couples: the Artifact Uprising Wedding Layflat Photo Album.
Gingham Style
I love a good gingham print! It’s just so classic, and it always gives me those picnic vibes I strive for come spring and summer. This checked print has been on full display lately and I am loving what’s been springing up around the web. I rounded up my latest gingham finds from my go-to sites, particularly some picks for SS2021 wardrobe and pieces for picnic and beach days.
Mother’s Day Gift Guide
When it comes to gifting I love to give things that will serve a purpose or bring simple pleasures, and luxury versions of everyday items. I had so much fun putting together this gift guide full of goodies for self-care and a little indulgence that I’m eyeing for the Moms in my life. I hope it helps with Mother’s Day shopping ahead of May 9!
Roasted Chicken and Couscous with Braised Tomatoes
This is one of my all-time favorite recipes as of late and one that rotates through our kitchen often. This dish is one I love to make for family because it’s super simple to double the recipe and it makes for a beautiful presentation.
Home Finds: Neutral Accent Pieces
When I moved into a new apartment last fall I had so much more space to work with and was searching for some special pieces that could grow with me over the years. I discovered some small businesses that make some really special pieces for the home like candle holders and linen towels. I really think it’s small upgrades to regular everyday items like these are what creates a curated and thoughtful home.
Kauai Travel Guide, Part II
Here’s part two of my Kauai travel guide where you’ll find my favorite activities and places to eat.
Kauai Travel Guide, Part I
Kauai is hands down one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It’s very small, about 25 miles wide and 33 miles long and can be driven in under three hours. The beauty of Kauai is you can have as much of a relaxing or active trip as you like! It’s an incredibly therapeutic and healing place. I love sharing my recommendations for how to explore this magical island and since I’ve provided tips to friends and families on multiple occasions, I decided to put them on the blog! Without further ado…
Detailing My Kauai Wedding Vendors
I’ll start by saying that everyone works with a different budget for wedding vendors and everyone has different preferences on which vendors to include in a wedding day. This post details my personal experience based on what I chose was important to include in my wedding day.
